October Rosary Procession

On Saturday, October 12, 2024, The Church of the Annunciation held a public Rosary Procession at Discovery Green in downtown Houston.

The day began at 8:00 a.m. with Holy Mass presided by Msgr. James Golasinski, followed by the Divine Mercy Chaplet led by Deacon K.C. Curtis. A light breakfast, hosted by Catholic Daughters of America, was held at the Foley House. Deacon Curtis then led a group of approximately 50-60 attendees in a peaceful, public Rosary Procession at Discovery Green. During the procession, many spectators were invited to join us in prayer and many free rosaries were handed out.

A security guard, who stated that he was a Baptist, was offered a rosary and accepted it gratefully; even commenting that he felt that our presence was exactly what our country needs right now and wished there were more people practicing their faith the way we were!

Fr. Paul Felix stated that he was so happy that we had such a great turnout and that things went so smoothly. He said we should plan on maintaining a regular monthly rosary procession going forward!

Thanks to everyone who participated in making this such a successful, prayerful event! We look forward to an even bigger and better event next month, with the help of Our Lord and Our Lady!
