Annunciation Rosary Center

“What is your commitment to Our Lady? Will you accept the charge to go out and engage individuals to pray the Holy Rosary daily? Teach others about the rosary and how to pray it?”

The mission of Annunciation Rosary Center is to promote and encourage praying the holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is our perpetual intercessor to her divine Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Our apostolate seeks to aide people in their response to the universal call to holiness; to discern and to sustain them in their vocation to the priesthood, religious life, and to marriage and family life; for growth in devotion and spirituality, towards the renewal of the world; in defense of the sanctity of all human life; and of all people, whatever their life circumstances, uniting us in faith, hope, and love.

A Letter from Fr. Paul Felix, Pastor

“Dear Friends,
I am so excited to tell you about and invite you to help us to promote the Annunciation Rosary Center.
Allow me to give you the overview and then get to what we are aiming to promote in the near future.  This initiative is based in the Church of the Annunciation parish, with a mission to promote the recitation of the Rosary on the part of individuals, couples, families, and groups. It is intended to promote the Rosary throughout our Archdiocese and beyond.

We are developing links to materials and resources (see below)  that will help people to learn about the Rosary, how to pray it, and to help people to grow in devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary (who is a type, or a model of the Church), and to foster a deepening of people’s internalization of our Catholic faith -- all of this through the Rosary, which I like to describe as the “fifth gospel” of Jesus Christ.  We believe this is vital for addressing so much evil, misery, and hopelessness in the world. It is vital for bringing people to new hope, to peace within themselves, their families, and to a renewal of our society through the spiritual benefits that come from meditatively praying, petitioning, and learning to trust God, under the guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary - to “do what He tells” us.

Our aim is to gradually build up, over time, an extensive network of apostles and liaisons who can accept the charge to go out and engage individuals, couples, families, and prayer groups (and other groups – virtual through social media, etc., or physically in person). In effect, to engage anyone who will listen, whether Catholic or not.  We are working on developing relationships with friends to partner with us to serve as “Apostles of the Rosary” who help us to grow this initiative. We are seeking partners to serve as liaisons to each parish and the various prayer groups in each parish.  We want to build this up over time to such an extent as to have special large-scale gatherings conducting special events such as public Rosary/Marian Conferences, Rosary crusades and processions, and more! Imagine filling up Minute Maid Park with an annual Marian Congress and Rosary crusade!

Now for the more immediate events for which I am asking your help.

Our leadership group is looking to build up the number of our collaborators to serve in the apostolate of the Rosary through soliciting  multi-tiered commitments as follows:

1. Your individual pledge to pray the Rosary daily, or as often as you think you can reasonably commit to, given your life circumstance.

2. Your individual pledge to become an “Apostle of the Rosary” by pledging to teach others about the Rosary and how to pray it, bringing them to making a personal faith commitment to praying the Rosary - on a level they feel comfortable committing to at this time.

We extend a warm invitation to you and to all people from the Archdiocese and beyond to become Apostles of the Rosary by:

A. Committing to attend Annunciation's First Saturday 8:00 AM Mass, followed by the recitation of the rosary, the first Saturday devotion prayers, and breakfast.

B.  Committing to participate in public rosary processions and rallies.

C. Your commitment to assist in the apostolate by:

i. Serving as a parish Liasion as a facilitator of our apostolate at your parish.

ii. Participating in Rosary Making Workshops to supply free give-away rosaries to those being introduced to the rosary.

iii. Assisting with needs for activities and events as they arise.

Please visit this page regularly to keep up with our latest activities and opportunities.

Prayer for a Favor through the intercession of Fr. Peyton:

God, Our Father, Your wisdom is displayed in all creation and the power of your grace is revealed in the lives of holy people, who inspire us to trust You more fully and to serve others more generously.  In a unique way, You blessed the life and work of Fr. Patrick Peyton, CSC, Your servant and a fervent apostle of Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosay and Mother of us all.  Through his intercession, we ask for this favor…….

Please grant it, if it is for Your honor and glory through Christ Our Lord.  Amen.
