God’s Love Revealed

Our parish children will present the Christmas play God’s Love Revealed on Christmas Eve at 4 pm in the church. All are invited to attend!

Casting

• Open to children ages 4–17 years.

• Tryouts: Sundays, October 12, 19, 26 after the 9 am Mass (Foley House).

• If your child cannot attend Sunday tryouts but would like to participate, please contact info@acchtx.org.

All characters except Narrator, Mary, and Joseph may also sing in the choir when not in their scene. Costume changes will not be possible.

Rehearsals

Weekly Mini-Practices

• Sundays, October 26–December 21 (except Thanksgiving weekend)

• 10:15–11 am in Foley House

• If your child cannot attend Sunday practices but would like to participate, please contact info@acchtx.org.

Major Rehearsals (in the Church)

• Saturday, November 15 — 10:30 am–12 pm

• Saturday, December 20 — 10:30 am–12:30 pm

Christmas Eve (in the Church)

• Set up after the 12:10 pm Mass

• Full Dress Rehearsal at 2 pm

• Performance at 4 pm

Performance Night

• Christmas Eve, December 24 at 4 pm – God’s Love Revealed (Children’s Play)

• Christmas Vigil Mass with Choir directed by Catherine Schaefer
  • Carols at 5 pm
  • Mass at 5:30 pm

Roles for Helpers

Sets

Help is needed to assemble, take down, and pack the sets:

• Dec. 6 – Main stage sets put together for practice

• Dec. 24, 2 pm – All sets set up for the dress rehearsal

• After the performance - All sets taken apart and returned to van/car

Props

Props are used for both practices and the performance:

• Nov. 15 (10:30 am–12 pm) – Major practice setup

• Dec. 6 (10:30 am–12:30 pm) – Major practice setup

• Dec. 24 – Dress rehearsal and performance setup

• After the performance - Store all props in tubs and load into van/car

Costumes

• Cast members borrowing parish costumes must return them after the play

• Parents may make or purchase costumes for their child

• Angels: Provide your own white dress and shoes (wings provided)
