Our Dreams Are Coming True!
Fr. Felix, Pastor
From the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Parish Financial Report
Imagine our parish family gathering in the plaza without the stress of parking. Limited parking is a daily challenge for our community and is especially acute during Astros games and Minute Maid Park concerts. The newly enlarged City of Houston "Entertainment Zone," bounded by I-45, I-10, and I-69, and the I-45 expansion, is guaranteed to increased strain on this crucial resource.
Today, I am pleased to announce significant progress towards constructing a multi-level garage on the current parking lot. This inititace marks a pivotal step in creating a welcoming space for all people who come to us.
Over the past thirteen years, the Church of the Annunciation and Incarnate Word Academy have collaboratively embarked on a significant project to address this growing need: an ample an accessible parking facility. In partnership with PGL Architects and Harvey Construction, we have designed a 300+ spot parking garage that our parish, offering numerous benefits:
- Improving accessibility for parishioners, students, and visitors.
- Enhancing traffic flow in this area of Downtown Houston bustling with an increasing number of visitors.
- Expanding the visibility of our community and enhancing our mission.
We anticipate breaking ground on this transformative project during the second half of 2024. As we get closer to beginning construction, I look forward to sharing further details about this exciting development and its positive impact on our campus and community.
Your continued support remains important as we bring this vision to life.
Let us continue to pray for one another and the success of these endeavors.
