8:45 am - English - Please assemble in the Plaza for Blessing of Palms and Procession, weather permitting.

There will be no confession in between the 8:45 & 11:00 am Masses

11:00 am - Latin - Please assemble in the Plaza for Blessing of Palms and Procession, weather permitting.

Astros will have a game from 1:10 pm - 4:10 pm. Please plan accordingly.

7:00 pm - Annual Chrism Mass at Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart (1111 St. Joseph Pkwy)

Priests of the Archdiocese will renew their vows and commitment to the priesthood.

As part of the Church’s preparation for Easter, the sacred oils are blessed and consecrated for the celebration of the Sacraments throughout the upcoming year — Anointing of the Sick, Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Orders.

These holy oils names are the Oil of the Sick, the Oil of Catechumens and the holy Chrism.

Spy Wednesday | April 16

12:10 pm – Latin Mass with Passion Readings

7:00 - 9:30 pm Tenebrae Liturgy (Latin) - A beautiful candlelit prayer service known as ‘Tenebrae’, Latin for ‘Darkness’. Throughout the quiet service of scripture readings, psalms, and chants, the candles are gradually extinguished as we contemplate the coming darkness of the Crucifixion. 

The church will be open throughout Tenebrae.

 

 

Maundy Thursday | April 17

Parish Office Closed

7:00 pm – Mass of the Lord’s Supper and Eucharistic Procession (Latin)

9:00 pm to 12:00 am - Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the Altar of Repose.

Please invite friends and family from other parishes around town to visit our church as part of the venerable tradition of visiting Seven Altars of Repose this night.

 

 

Good Friday | April 18

Parish Office Closed

Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence.

If possible, the fast on Good Friday is continued until the Easter Vigil (on Holy Saturday night) as the 'paschal fast' to honor the suffering and death of the Lord Jesus, and to prepare ourselves to share more fully and to celebrate more readily his Resurrection.

12:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Confessions & Tre Ore Devotions in honor of Our Lord’s Three Hours’ Agony

  • 12:00 pm – Stations of the Cross
  • 1:00 pm – Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary
  • 2:00 pm – Chaplet of the Divine Mercy

Confessions will be heard from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

 

3:00 pm – Passion Liturgy

  • Liturgy of the Word including the Chanting of the Lord’s Passion
  • Veneration of the Cross (with a relic of the True Cross)
  • Holy Communion

Entire collection goes to the Holy Land Collection

Astros will have a game from 7:10 pm - 10:10 pm.

 

 

Holy Saturday | April 19

8:30 pm – Easter Vigil with reception following

Astros will have a game from 6:10 pm - 9:10 pm. Please plan accordingly.

There will not be a 5:30 pm Mass

Astros will have a game from 6:10 pm - 9:10 pm.

There will be no Eucharistic Adoration or Benediction on Easter Sunday. Sunday Adoration will resume April 27.
